Description
JML Engineering worked as a structural sub-consultant for the New Robert Moore School in Fort Frances, ON for the Rainy River District School Board.
The building is a 51,000 square foot building with two storeys and a gymnasium. The construction is a reinforced concrete foundation, load bearing masonry and structural steel.
The Detailed Design included implementation of the pre-load design outlined as a requirement in the Geotechnical Report for the proposed school, which eliminated the need for a pile foundation. Also included was a seismic design.
During construction JML Engineering completed periodic inspections to review all structural elements.
